Advocate Amrita Sarker
Advocate
I am Advocate Amrita Sarker, a practicing lawyer in Bangladesh since 2013, with extensive experience in both litigation and legal advisory services. Over the years, I have represented clients before courts and tribunals, providing strategic legal support in complex and sensitive matters with a strong commitment to justice, professionalism, and results.
My practice primarily focuses on criminal law, family law, and human rights–related matters. I have substantial experience handling cases involving violence against women, domestic abuse, maintenance and dower claims, divorce, child custody, guardianship, restitution of conjugal rights, and other family disputes. I also regularly handle serious criminal cases, including offences involving violence, sexual crimes, abduction, dowry-related matters, and abetment to suicide. A significant part of my professional work involves cases related to trafficking in persons and human smuggling. I have worked closely on prosecution-side matters, supporting victims throughout the investigation, trial, and post-conviction stages.
In addition to courtroom advocacy, I provide legal opinions, case strategy support, and procedural guidance to clients, ensuring that their rights are protected at every stage of the legal process. I am particularly committed to representing vulnerable individuals and promoting access to justice through ethical, diligent, and client-focused legal practice. I hold both LL.B. and LL.M. degrees and am an enrolled Advocate of the Bangladesh Bar. I practice primarily in Dhaka and provide legal services in both English and Bengali.
